The main aim of our Art and Craft Holiday Centre will be to offer specialist tuition to enable every participant to develop their creative skills and maximise their potential, whilst benefiting from the exhilarating surroundings and having a wonderful, inspiring holiday.

Every year we will add new and exciting courses for you to learn different skills or hone those already acquired. This year we are offering  painting, wood sculpture, mosaics and grassweaving courses, plus our new “Back to Basics” courses with camping!

We will endeavour to make your stay as informative, stimulating, comfortable and relaxing as possible, whilst giving you a taste of  ”real”  Spain. You will have the opportunity to learn some basic Spanish, amongst like-minded people and you will have a lot of fun!

The Venue

This will be a traditional Spanish farmhouse nestling in a peaceful valley of almond and olive trees. The valley is surrounded by the forested mountains of Sierra Espuna, one of the largest Natural Parks in Murcia, Spain. The farm is 15 minutes walk away from the village of El Berro which has two bakers, a village shop and three bars and restaurants.

Accommodation

Accommodation will be organised for you in a  local family-run hotel in an idyllic setting in Gebas, a small village not far from El Berro.  It has a lovely patio surrounded by flowers, a good sized swimming pool, and marvellous views. Breakfast to be included, but half-board and/or packed lunch can be provided on request at an additional cost. If we are out on location we will try to organise lunch nearby, wherever possible.

Transport from the hotel to the centre and return in the evening will be included in the cost of the holiday. (This is for one return trip per day, if you should need more transport please arrange separately with the hotel manager.)

We can also offer self catering accommodation for groups in a traditional Spanish house in the village of El Berro, or  the camping option.

Additional Information

For the more adventurous spirits among you, quad biking and mountain biking are available. (Cost not included). There are marked trails through the forests where you can enjoy walking on the wildside in complete silence. Look out for the javali (wild boar) and arrui (a type of mountain goat/cross deer), rare eagles and many spectacular butterflies. A Nature Paradise! Guided walks can also be arranged for you.
